1. Hotel Luna

It is the first and only museum hotel in the Philippines. It was named after Juan Luna, a famous painter from Ilocos. It has Queen Standard Rooms, Double Queen Deluxe Rooms, Loft Suite and Executive Suite. For more inquiries, visit their website at hotelluna.ph.

2. Kalye Crisologo

It is named after Mena Pecson Crisologo, an Ilocano writer and politician. It is a 500-meter long street where the ancestral houses are located. The architecture gives the tourists a glimpse of the Spanish colonial times. However, vehicles other than calesa (horse-drawn carriage) are not allowed to enter.

3. Crisologo Museum

The mansion of the Crisologo Family was converted into a museum after Floro S. Crisologo, the patriarch, was murdered. He was a former Congressman and the author of laws behind the creation of the University of Northern Philippines and Social Security System. The museum houses the memorabilia of the late Congressman and is open for public viewing.

4. Café Leona

It was named after the poetess Leona Tolentino. Serving good food since 1997, it has become a staple to the mind of the tourists when looking for a place to eat in Vigan City. It serves Japanese, Thai, Italian, Filipino and Continental cuisines.

5. Tongson's Royal Bibingka

It is the home of original royal bibingka (Filipino rice cake commonly served during the Christmas season). Tourists take the time to buy this as a pasalubong (gift or souvenir given to a friend or relative by a person who has returned from a trip or arrived for a visit) because it could only be bought from Ilocos. However, it is not the usual puffy bibingka because it is like a sticky rice cake.

6. Dancing Fountain

Plaza Salcedo was renovated into a more modernized attraction through the installation of a fountain. Tourists flock to the area to watch the water dance to the rhythm of the music. The show starts at 7 in the evening and lasts for 30-45 minutes.

7. Empanadahan at Burgos Plaza

To complete the Vigan experience, tourists should try the empanada (local meat and vegetable-filled pastry) before leaving the city. Plaza Burgos, known for its food stalls especially the empanadahan (place for eating empanada), is the best place to eat this famous Vigan specialty.

8. Bantay Church

It is one of the oldest churches in Region 1. It is also known as Saint Augustine Parish Church and Shrine of Our Lady of Charity. It was named after the patron saint of the Augustinian friars, Saint Augustine. It is 10 to 15-minute calesa ride from Calle Crisologo.

9. Pagburnayan

It is the place where camarins (burnay factories) can be found is in the Baranggay VII, in the Southwest part of the city.Address: Gomez St. cor Liberation Boulevard, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur
